The Play 40 Plus has a 6.74” LCD with 720p resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The screen has a small waterdrop notch on top for the 5MP selfie camera. The panel’s technology does not allow fingerprint scanners underneath, meaning the sensor is on the side, over the power key.
The main camera is coupled by a 2MP depth sensor, while the selfie camera has a 5MP sensor. Design-wise, Honor decided to follow the dual circle solution from the number series with overlapping rings but only on the colored versions - the black variant gets a simpler back.
The phone comes in three memory combinations, two of them with 8GB RAM - storage is either 128GB or 256GB, and it does not support microSD card slot. The more basic version has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Honor Play 40 Plus comes in four colors - Purple, Silver, Blue and Black.
